ARISE Community Pastoral Assistant
Job Description
• Support the ARISE Senior Pastoral Associate in coordinating logistical arrangements
for ARISE events including weekly fellowships, bible school classes, pastoral visitations,
outreaches, annual celebrations, discipleship courses, external events, etc.
• Assist the ARISE Senior Pastoral Associate in recruiting, onboarding and training
volunteers, especially in the areas of the kitchen and children’s ministry
• Provide administrative support to the ARISE Ministry Team in the areas of, but not
limited to, managing attendance records and database, preparing meeting minutes,
organizing and administrating expenses claims for courses and activities, etc.
• Manage communications with ARISE volunteers and the wider church team
• Develop and manage event promotion content
• Network across ministries for partnership opportunities
• Attend and participate in weekly staff devotions and pastoral team meetings/ trainings
• Support and attend broader church events when requested
Job Requirement
• Tertiary education, degree holder in Theology or related disciplines is highly preferred
• Competent in computer applications such as Zoom, Canva, Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google productivity tools (Docs, Drive, Forms, and Sheets)
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin a plus
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks
• Previous experience in event management and volunteer coordination (especially
children) or relevant roles is preferred
• Able and willing to work on Sundays when required
